Xollai Optical Autonomous Recovery System

The Xollai Optical Autonomous Recovery System (XOARS) is a precision guidance and landing system for unmanned aircraft systems. The XOARS is effective in GPS denied environments and due to the minimal impact it has on the airframe, can easily be incorporated as either a primary or secondary system on existing airframes.

XOARS can be implemented onto moving platforms such as boats and trucks. The XOARS is lightweight (UAS added weight is approximately 4 oz, ground unit weighs less than 10 lbs including power supply/battery), easily carried by one person, accurate to within a 5 foot radius, can operate under various weather and lighting conditions, is simple to operate, and has minimal power requirements.

Users of UAS with the Xollai Optical Autonomous Recovery System can safely land on the ground, in nets, or via cable, which extends the useful life of the UAS and dramatically reduces the cost of implementing a UAS-based security or monitoring solution.
